Anipryl Tablets from Pfizer Animal Health is an FDA approved oral medication used to treat cognitive dysfunction syndrome (CDS) also known as senility in dogs. It is also prescribed for the treatment of some types of Cushing’s disease caused by a pituitary tumor in dogs. The active ingredient in Anipryl is Selegiline which increases the concentration of a nervous system messenger chemical called dopamine. Higher levels of dopamine improve many cognitive processes.
